Adventures Await in Los Cabos
Few destinations in Mexico pack as much outdoor adventure into one stretch of coastline as Los Cabos. The unique geography — where the Pacific Ocean's cold currents collide with the warm Sea of Cortez — creates some of the world's richest marine life, earning the Sea of Cortez the nickname "the world's aquarium" from Jacques Cousteau.
On the water, Los Cabos is legendary for world-class sport fishing (marlin, dorado, yellowfin tuna), humpback whale watching from January through March, and snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo — a UNESCO-protected coral reef. On land, you can tear through red-dirt desert on ATVs, rappel into canyon slots, or soar above it all on a zip line. Yacht charters offer everything from sunset cocktail cruises to full-day adventures to the famous Arch at Land's End.
Best time for whale watching is January–March. Snorkeling and diving are excellent year-round, with peak visibility May–October. Sport fishing is productive throughout the year, with marlin season peaking July–November. Book popular tours 1–2 weeks in advance during peak season (December–April).
